Kampala is rainy at the moment but this does not mean that the weather cannot switch up on us at any time. In fact, we are more suspicious of the weather switching up than maintaining a stability. Take for example I set out in this outfit while it was cloudy but, before long the sun was not only out but also blazing hot.

It is crucial to know how to layer for our temperamental weather specifically to avoid clothing induced stress during the day. I follow these simple two steps to stay comfortable any day of the year.

1. Wear clothing of light fabric as the first layer. 
2. Add on multiple layers until you feel warm enough.

I wore the black dress as my first layer, it is long sleeved but made of light fabric that I can be comfortable in when it’s shinning. I layered a blazer on top of the dress and added mid-calf stockings for extra warmth.

If you follow these two steps you will be able to keep calm when the weather becomes hotter simply by taking off the additional layers of clothing until you are comfortable. I took off the blazer and stockings and remained un-bothered by the weather switch up in my dress.

Resist the temptation of wearing a sweater as a top because of a very cold morning, rather wear a sleeveless camisole first then layer it with a sweater. Get it? Happy layering.
