Young Humans.
My biggest inspiration is children,
The unborn,
Toddlers,
And preschoolers
In their courage, the roots of my inspiration run deepest.
Even before their little eyes see the sun, they change the lives of their mothers in a big way.
They refuse to believe they’re delicate.
Curiosity is their fortress.
They love without aforethought,
And express themselves with no fear of being misunderstood.
From their condition less love, I draw gourds full of inspiration,
In their mom’s bellies, they kick; that’s how they say “I am okay.”

Their sight is untainted by worldly prejudices,
So, they only see what makes us human, never our differences.
They do not hold grudges. Just warm smiles and bubbly hugs at every encounter.
I am inspired to love like them
Be curious and open hearted like them
To forgive like them. But also, to move on grudge free.
I’ve found one of the greatest ironies of life to be that while we are so keen on teaching our children all we know, they’re here to teach us what we’ve long forgotten.
