I am a monochrome chic, I hardly wear more than two colors. You know why? – Let me let you on a secret. Less is always more, in life generally but also in fashion. A monochromatic look oozes elegance, simplicity and effortlessness.
However, Meghan Markle’s look from a few weeks ago brought back a craving for my color-blocking. The chemistry between purple and red is a sight to behold. I purchased these purple pants recently because I loved the style but I was struggling with the color until inspiration from Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex presented itself. Anybody else struggles with colors pink and purple?
I chose to go all the way extra since with ruffles on both the top and pants. I kept the bag and shoes in sync with the top to piece the whole look together. This is another style rule for me. Styling is like a song, it has a beginning, a chorus and an end. For me the beginning is the structure of the outfit, the chorus is the colors and the end is syncing of accessories.
What is your style secret or rule? Let me know in the comments.
